Miss Middletown Honorary Fire Chief
Miss Brittany N. Sager
The Middletown Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company would like to announce that the 2010 Miss Middletown Honorary Fire Chief is Miss Brittany Nicole Sager, the 18 year old daughter of Tonya Bly of Middletown. Brittany is a senior at Sherando High School.
Brittany will be crowned on January 30, 2010 at the Company’s annual banquet.
She will represent the Company in the Miss In-Town Honorary Fire Chief Pageant, part of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, to be held in April.
Along with riding in the 2010 Apple Blossom Festival Firemen’s Parade on Friday, April 30, 2010 with the Company, she will also ride on the Miss In-Town float during the Grand Feature Parade on Saturday, May 1, 2010. She will also accompany the Company for local parades.

Miss Abigail C. Smelser
The 2009 Miss Middletown Honorary Fire Chief is Miss Abigail Smelser. Abigail is the daughter of Billy & Heather Smelser of Middletown. She is 16 years old and a junior at Sherando High School.
Abigail was crowned at our Company Banquet on January 24, 2009.
She competed in the Miss In-Town Honorary Fire Chief Pageant held on April 5, 2009 and placed as the 2nd Runner Up.
Along with riding in the 2009 Apple Blossom Festival Firemen’s Parade on Friday, May 1, 2009 with the Company, she also rode on the Miss In-Town float during the Grand Feature Parade on Saturday, May 2, 2009. She will also accompany the Company for local parades.

Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Headquarters

Applicant must be a resident of the firefighting district for her sponsoring fire company;

Applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 21 years of age before/on May 1, 2010;
-
Applicant must be unmarried and have never been married, nor had her marriage annulled;
-
Applicant must not be pregnant, nor have any children.
Roles of our
Honorary Fire Chief:
One of the roles of Miss Middletown Honorary Fire Chief is to represent the Company in the Frederick County Fire & Rescue Honorary Fire Chief Pageant that will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2010. Along with participating in the pageant, Miss Middletown will accompany the Company to the Firefighter’s Reception, the Firefighter’s Parade and the Grand Feature Parade during the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, as well as, any parade that the Company participates in.
