2012 Honorary Fire Chief
It’s our pleasure to
announce that Miss Anna Smelser is the 2012 Miss Middletown Honorary
Fire Chief.
She is the daughter of Heather Smelser and Billy Smelser. She is a
senior at Sherando High School.
Anna will be crowned at the annual Company banquet, to be held on Feb. 4, 2012.

Applications for the 2012 Miss Middletown will be posted in October. The deadline will be 5 pm January 4, 2013.
Paige Elizabeth Jenkins
The Middletown
Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company would like to announce that the 2011
Miss Middletown Honorary Fire Chief is
Miss Paige Elizabeth Jenkins, the daughter of Marshall and Barbie
Sampson of Middletown. Paige is a senior at Sherando High School.
Paige was crowned in February at the Company’s annual banquet. She will represent the Company in the Miss In-Town Honorary Fire Chief Pageant, part of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, to be held in March.
Along with riding in
the 2011 Apple Blossom Festival Firemen’s Parade on Friday, April 29,
2011 with the Company, she will also ride on the
Miss In-Town float during the Grand Feature Parade on Saturday, April
30, 2011. She will also accompany the Company for local parades.

Roles of our Honorary Fire Chief:
One of the roles of Miss Middletown Honorary Fire Chief is to represent the Company in the Frederick County Fire & Rescue Honorary Fire Chief Pageant that will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2010. Along with participating in the pageant, Miss Middletown will accompany the Company to the Firefighter’s Reception, the Firefighter’s Parade and the Grand Feature Parade during the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, as well as, any parade that the Company participates in.
